Setting Intentions 2024
As a dog owner and trainer who has ADHD and a lovely array in the mental health journey, I’ve become very familiar with wanting to direct my life into a better direction but getting lost in the sea of goals. I’ve also become familiar with feeling alone in the dog training journey, overwhelmed with the realities of life but also feeling the pressure of trying to keep things together with my dogs.
The reality is, dog ownership is a journey and one that often doesn’t have the full support owners need in regards to finding balance in their own mental health and every day life. In fact, most of us aren’t prepared for how much it will require from us until we’re deep in it with our dog’s behavioral issues or we’re hit with life changing events.
Share your hopes and priorities for 2024. What would you like to see for your life, dog, mental and emotional health? While goals are important, intentions provide direction and help you stay in alignment as life happens through the year.
During this workshop, we will:
Discuss hopes and priorities for mental and emotional wellness
Discover what balance looks like for us individually
Paint a picture of practical applications for ourselves and our family
Differentiate between structure and routine
Discover our intention or word of the year
Genuinely connect and get to know the people behind the dog instagrams you love
Build community with individuals who care about both mental health and their dog
Find more people you can train with outside of Etsu & Me events
Bring a notebook, laptop, or however you’d like to take notes.
Dog friendly, as long as your dog can be neutral around other dogs since venue might be indoors.
